Ride Emerald Mountain

🐾 ~30 mi singletrack

Dog-friendly

Close to 30 miles of singletrack two blocks from downtown, on the city-owned front side of Emerald Mountain, for beginner through expert. Climb the Blackmere Drive doubletrack and descend NPR, or No Pedaling Required: a mile and a half of one-way flow with tabletops and bermed switchbacks you can coast start to finish.

Trailhead behind the horse stables, Howelsen Pkwy

Local tip

Park at the horse stables by the rodeo grounds or at Olympian Hall. For the gentlest version, ride Beall to Ridge from the Cow Creek trailhead, a mellow climb to the summit and the best picnic view in the valley.

Your base for all of it.
